laws are nothing more than a list of things the state doesnt want you to do. they dont dictate morality or general consensus.
you have to realise - you are free. you can literally do whatever the fuck you want.
but still, the state has a monopoly on violence; that is what gives them the power to attack and brutalize you for breaking their rules in the first place. and generally they dont want you doing anything to subvert the state or capital - such as squatting, mutual aid, shoplifting, graffiti/subvertising, or living outside its grasp (e.g. communes).
the way to combat this is through collective power - after all, they literally cannot stop everyone.
the more people we have with us, the more people that are part of the same cause - for living for ourselves, and not for capital or authority - the better our chances are of being able to build something new, and of being safe from the state when doing so
community is also very important - people tend to have an easier time sticking together and caring for each other when they have shared personal bonds
a collective movement without community is prone to fall apart when things get hard, and a community without collective power is not gonna be able to do much. for a long lasting movement/realisation of ideas, you need both. they reinforce each other through shared bonds and shared struggle
so, lets realise we can do whatever we want, and start living for ourselves and those we care about
